BG matchmaking is poor and I do not enjoy the whale bracket where I feel completely ineffective, nor do I want to spend to close the gap. the PVE content is boring and repetitive relative to the gain (you could grind for a very long time and not get any satisfaction due to poor drop rates and abysmal rolls on what does drop). Personally, I am cooling off on the game for a multitude of reasons. I’ll probably keep playing until Diablo 4 beta comes out, but then I’ll have absolutely no grievances with deleting the app off my device. Monetization is painful, no transmog so you’re forced to buy cosmetics is also another middle finger. The designers definitely set out to make every aspect of the game a farm. Not just that, but with LESS customization in my build. The things I don’t like: it feels like Diablo 3. The things I like: gameplay, queuing for parties (when it’s fast) build recommendations are HUGE! Probably my favorite aspect. Absolutely atrocious design UNLESS you have dedicated friends to play with consistently. The countless different little groups are confusing and I joined the shadow clan, but seriously don’t know what to do with it, and don’t get me started on warbands. The story was so boring (especially when rifts open up so early in the main story, I had to constantly peel myself away from them to continue questing). The monetization is ridiculous and I feel like shit for buying the battle pass. It feels like an abusive relationship and WoW made me really sensitive to it. However, I only just hit level 60 and the core game design reminds me so much of WoW: Shadowlands: just so many systems, and repetitive tasks that don’t respect your time and a carrot always out in front of you.
I just started playing a few weeks ago, and I gotta say: as a mobile game, it’s very fun! It’s easy to play, and the gameplay is fun (I played D3 a lot throughout the years).
